Our Projects

OUR TAILORING PROGRAM

The Program aims to teach young boys and girls the skills of tailoring and garment construction. The program provides hands-on training in a variety of tailoring techniques, including pattern-making, cutting, sewing, and finishing.

Participants in this program have the opportunity to work with a variety of fabrics and materials, learning how to choose the appropriate materials for different projects and how to care for them. They also learn about color theory and design principles, as well as the business skills necessary to succeed in the tailoring industry.

The program is led by experienced tailors and fashion designers who provide guidance and support to the students as they learn and develop their skills. The goal of the project is to empower young people with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue careers in the fashion industry or start their own tailoring businesses.

BAKERY

This project aims to teach people the skills and techniques needed to become proficient bakers. Through a series of interactive lessons, participants learn the basics of baking and gradually build up to more advanced techniques.

The program starts with an introduction to the fundamental ingredients and tools used in baking, including flour, sugar, eggs, and various types of baking pans. From there, we move on to teaching basic recipes like cookies, cakes, and bread.

As participants progress through the course, they learn more advanced techniques like decorating cakes, making pastries, and working with different types of dough. We also cover important topics like food safety and proper measuring techniques.

Throughout the program, participants have the opportunity to practice their skills through hands-on exercises and receive feedback from experienced bakers. By the end of the study, participants have the knowledge and confidence to bake a variety of delicious treats for themselves and others.

#back to my roots programme- reuniting children with their
families/communities

This project has provided a supportive and nurturing environment for street children, with the goal of rehabilitating and reuniting them with their families. To achieve this, the project offers a range of educational and vocational training programs, including music, tailoring, and baking.

The music program provides the children with a creative outlet, helping to build their self-esteem and confidence. The tailoring program teaches them valuable skills that they can use to earn a living and support themselves and their families. The baking program teaches the children the skills needed to prepare and sell baked goods, helping them to develop entrepreneurial skills and the ability to generate an income.

Throughout the course of the program and their time with us, the children receive support and guidance from trained professionals and volunteers, who work with them to develop their skills and help them overcome any challenges they may be facing. The ultimate goal of the project is to help the children transition back into their families and communities, where they can thrive and lead fulfilling lives.
